Day 3 Of MCOP Amsterdam

The Day 3 of 2016 MCOP Main Event was disbursed with 2 buses touts all at the same time.

As a result, it made for a final table of 2 with no delay of hand for hand play. Some of the popular names like Michiel Brummelhuis, Arne Coulier and Jussi Nevanlinna fell short. However, other players like Charlie Carrel and Juha Helppi did make it. Helppi led the final 9 with Carrel that successfully earned 5 out of 5 cash this week. The Day 3 began with 53 players. Before completion of the first level, there were over 15 players that managed to hit the rail. The first one to go was none other than Foeke Deinum and he was followed by several players that held up their hands to receive cheques worth €7,895.

Jussi Nevanlinna who was the title defender may have not made to his goal. Charlie Carrel was assured of cashing in 5 out of 5 tournaments. He is playing this week and began his day by being a chip leader. There were a few small pots that he lost just to lose bigger series to make it drop down. (more…)


Russia To Host PartyPoker LIVE Million National

The Sochi Casino and Resort will be the venue for the first party poker Million National event.

This event will be taking place in Russia in association with the Poker Club Management in Sochi, Russia. The casino is a new one and will be opening its doors to the general public on Jan 20. Partypoker has said that the event in Russia will be held in March.

The buy-in for the PartyPoker Million National in Russia is fixed at $1,100 and the prize money guaranteed is $1 million. The first place can earn $200,000 guaranteed. This prize pool is sure to draw many of the avid poker enthusiasts to the Sochi resort come March. The announced guaranteed prize money will be a combined one that involves both line and online elements. There will be five opening days of events to be held in Sochi in March and the first two days will be held on March 12 and March 19. The last three days of the opening days of PartyPoker Million National at the Sochi Casino and Resort will be held on 24th, 25th and 26th of March 2017. (more…)

The casino and sports betting sites of Betclic Everest Group might have obtained licenses to operate in Portugal but the competition is now about to be stepped up as PokerStars has also obtained License 005 from SRIJ that allows them to host the tournament, hold’em, Omaha, French roulette and blackjack games on the site.

PokerStars is not new to Portuguese market, but the new regulations in 2015 had forced the company to shut down its operations. It has now received licensing approval and the functions are beginning afresh. However, even after the new site is operational, the poker market online will remain within certain boundaries as liquidity aspects are limited. Other countries like Spain, France and Italy have liquidity deals in force and Portugal might share the liquidity deals soon with these European Union countries.
